SARI Hosts Workshop Featuring Four Safety Leaders

Members and friends of the Safety Association of Rhode Island ended 2010 with a free workhop on various safety and regulatory topics. Taking place at FM Global in Johnston on December 10th, the four hour event featured four safety presentations. Topics presented at this event included: OSHA Updates, Crane Safety, Scaffolding, and Rigging.

“We’ve received tremendous feedback from attendees stating their gratitude and complementing the quality of the presentations,” states Rob Gallagher, President of the Safety Association of Rhode Island.

OSHA representative, Maryann Pacholski Medeiros, presented “Construction at your general industry worksite.” Among other topics, her presentation focused on:

- Review of recent local construction related incidents.
- Highlights of the new Crane & Derrick standard.
- Recent Scaffolding incidents locally.

With the success of this event SARI is gearing up to plan another year of providing the latest safety updates.
